The Foundation is currently funding a research programme led by scientists at Bart's and the London Medical School, Imperial College and Imanova into CFS and pain.  We need to raise over £230,000 to complete the cost of this three year study. Please help us by making a donation or supporting us through Give as you Live

Fundraiser

If you're planning a specific fundraising event for the Foundation why not build your own fundraising page at Everyclick.  It's easy to do and you can share it with your friends and colleagues.  These events not only raise much needed funds for research but also increase people's awareness of the disease and its devastating effects.

Over the years many of our supporters have sent us ideas for fundraising.  We realise that many of you who are very ill with CFS/ME must feel frustrated when you hear the Foundation is in need of money to fund research and you do not feel able to take part in fundraising.  We have collected ideas together so that there are opportunities and ideas for everyone to get involved.  There are ideas for the bed bound, the house bound, for those who are fully recovered and for friends and relatives.

With all these events, it is helpful if you can get the local press on your side. If you phone your local paper and ask for a news reporter, they will often welcome an unusual story. You can also try your local radio station – they are always looking for local news and you might be just the thing. A person who has CFS/ME and is willing to talk to the press or radio would be welcomed by many journalists and give a boost to fundraising.  If you would like some help with promoting your event please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will do all we can to help.

While these are suggestions based on the experience of our supporters, you may well wish to carry out your own original event. Do let us know about any fundraising you undertake. We hope that you will feel greatly encouraged when you see the new research going ahead as a result of so much enthusiasm.

It is your fundraising which will speed up research and bring nearer the day when we can defeat this devastating disease
